Animesh Kumar Srivastava
Digital Design Engineer II at Vervesemi Microelctronics
My name is Animesh Kumar Srivastava. I completed my B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, where I developed a strong interest in core subjects such as Digital and Analog Electronics. These subjects gave me a solid foundation and gradually shaped my inclination towards the VLSI domain.
Academic Journey
After completing my B.Tech in 2024, I qualified for the GATE examination and joined IIT Delhi for my M.Tech in Optoelectronics and Optical Communication. This interdisciplinary program, combining physics and electronics, provided me with a broader perspective on engineering problems. My undergraduate background helped me adapt well, although the initial phase was challenging. Over time, the rigorous curriculum and exposure pushed me to think more deeply and approach problems from multiple perspectives, helping me grow both academically and personally.
Key Project
My M.Tech project focuses on “Image Processing Techniques for Terahertz Tomography Applications”, under the guidance of Prof. Amartya Sengupta. In the beginning, I had some uncertainty about my project direction, but with continuous guidance and support, I gradually gained clarity and confidence. As I progressed, I worked on understanding the experimental setup and learned extensively about terahertz systems and signal processing techniques. I also received immense support from Dr. Uzair Alam, a project scientist in our lab, whose guidance played a crucial role in my learning process. With consistent effort and mentorship, I was able to publish my work as a first author in SPIE Photonics Europe, which has been one of the most rewarding milestones of my academic journey.
Challenges & Growth
The journey was not without challenges. Initially, adapting to a new domain and understanding complex concepts was difficult. There were moments of confusion and self-doubt, especially at the beginning of the project. However, with patience, consistent effort, and the support of my professor and seniors, I was able to overcome these hurdles. These experiences taught me the importance of perseverance, discipline, and continuous learning.
Motivation & Career Path
My placement journey was strongly aligned with the VLSI domain, since my undergraduate studies. I focused on building a strong conceptual understanding by practicing previous year questions and preparing thoroughly for written tests and interviews. This consistent effort helped me secure a position as a Digital Design Engineer II at Vervesemi Microelectronics. Alongside my technical interests, I have also developed a keen interest in teaching, as it allows me to share knowledge and understand concepts more deeply. I believe that success comes with patience, dedication, and continuous effort. The journey may take time, but consistent hard work and belief in oneself always lead to meaningful outcomes.
