The International Conference on Fiber Optics and Photonics – PHOTONICS, is a premier conference in the emerging areas of Photonic science and technology. The first two conferences (then named as CEOT and later re-christened as Photonics) were held at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore in 1992 and 1994. Since then the conference is being organized biennially in different parts of the country. Photonics 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 were organized by IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, TIFR Mumbai (with IIT Bombay), CUSAT Cochin, Univ. of Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur (jointly with Univ. of Calcutta and CGCRI) and IIT Kanpur, respectively. It has evolved into a leading forum and is presently acknowledged as one of the most important conferences in this area.
Photonics-2018 is the fourteenth in the series of biennial international conference and will be held at IIT Delhi during December 12-15, 2018. It will provide a forum for interaction and exchange of ideas among scientists, engineers, researchers, and users actively engaged in the area of Photonics. Tutorial courses on some of the conference topics would be organized on December 12, 2018. The Inaugural Session of Conference will be held in the evening of December 12 and the Technical Sessions will be held be during December 13-15, 2018. A Technical Exhibition would also be organized concurrently with the conference. In addition, a Techno-Commercial session would be organized on one of the evenings during the conference in which manufacturers and service providers in the areas of Photonics could make presentations of their company profile and advertise at a nominal fee for the time and the venue.
